PDF Signer for Windows 10 and 11

Dragdox is a desktop app that digitally signs PDF documents on Windows with your own certificate — a PFX file, a compatible USB DSC token or a certificate in the Windows certificate store. Your PDFs are signed on your computer and are never uploaded.

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit. The installer does not run on older or 32-bit Windows.
  • Java 8 is included in the installer; nothing else to install.
  • Your own signing certificate. A Dragdox license is not a signing certificate.
  • For a USB token: the manufacturer’s Windows driver (middleware).

We verified installation, start-up, license activation and PDF signing with a PFX certificate on Windows 11 (28 September 2026). Windows 10 is supported by the installer but has not yet been part of our tests.

Install

  1. Download dragdox_0.2.2_x64-setup.exe and check its SHA-256 checksum (Download page → Verify your download).
  2. Run the setup. By default it installs for your Windows user only; you can choose all users.
  3. Open Dragdox from the Start menu.

Where your certificate can come from

Choose certificate sources in Settings → Keystore:

  • Win Store (on by default) — certificates in your Windows personal certificate store, including those your token software makes available there.
  • PFX Store (off by default on Windows) — turn it on to sign with a .pfx / .p12 file. See Sign a PDF with a PFX certificate.
  • PKCS#11 Store (off by default on Windows) — turn it on to use a token through its manufacturer’s PKCS#11 driver. Dragdox already lists the common driver locations below; add others with Browse PKCS#11 File.

Dragdox is a 64-bit app, so it needs the 64-bit driver in C:\Windows\System32. The 32-bit copies in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 cannot be loaded. Drivers that are not installed are simply skipped. See the DSC token guide for what we have tested.

Free and Premium

The free version signs with a light Dragdox watermark on every page and includes the Green Tick. Premium removes the watermark from new output and adds trusted timestamps and long-term validation.
